The Presidential Debates Taskforce would like to inform the general public,
development partners and all stakeholders that the second Presidential Debate
has been shifted to a later date to be announced over the weekend to create
space for further engagement with political parties.
The second presidential debate was initially scheduled for Friday, August 29,
2025.
The postponement allows the Taskforce to engage in productive discussions
with political parties that failed to participate in the first debate.
Further details regarding the second debate will be communicated to the public
in due course.
The Taskforce sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this change may cause
to political parties and all stakeholders.
